Sanskrit foundation of VID

In our opinion the ancients had it correct when they first spoke and later wrote:

सर्वेमानवाःस्वतन्त्राःसमुत्पन्नाःवर्तन्तेअपिचगौरवदृ
शाअधिकारदृशाचसमानाः
एववर्तन्ते सर्वेचेतनातर्कशक्तिभ्यांसुसम्पन्नाःसन्ति
।अपिचसर्वेऽपिबन्धुत्वभावनयापरस्परंव्यवहरन्तु

Translation

"All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood."

(Article 1 of the United Nation's Universal Declaration of Human Rights)"

"reason and conscience" are the rudiments of knowing . . . expressed by the Sanskrit VID.
