my vid on videography
Why should anybody care about what videography means?
As the "father of videography" here's my vid on videography
vid1 > electronic imaging & recording
vid2 > technology interfacing perception & communication
vid1 emulates the process of seeing and (to a degree) remembering
vid2 includes all capabilities of vid1 and adds other dimensions
vid2 includes sight, smell, hearing, taste, and touch
vid2 technology is timeless / useful to investigate ancient-future perception & communication
vid2 technology studies all organisms perception & communication
vid2 invites integration of organic, electronic, mechanical and (as yet) unknown perception
vid2 is based on primal human ideas about knowing providing framework for fellowship

Hi Rob...I happen to have a very good memory...ask anyone.....the scene is this....you had a broken leg....the year was 1971.....and it was January......we were in the living room editing..."There is no death....there are no dead"....looking for little pieces of film....you said videotape is sooooo much easier....but at that time video cameras were huge and still connected by a giant cable to a large van filled with equipment. You said, "Video tape is the future.....and someday it'll be very mobile"....You decided that you would get more involved in video tape and would start a company.....that combined photography (you were a photographer....and video tape).......thus you came up with the name "Videography"....you loved it and we were all very jazzed about it because it was so fabulous. You invented the name..... ergo......you are the father of videography........Bobi
