Vidiots defined

Vidiots is a hybrid word formed by blending the Proto-Eurasian root "vid" meaning "knowing" and the Greek word "idiosus" meaning "a foolish or stupid person" - in contemporary use more akin to "idiot". Over the millenia the notion of idiot as "empty vessel" has led many to believe that the path to learning is by becoming (as close as possible) an empty vessel . . . and therefore capable of being filled with new knowledge. Vidiots represents a term used to describe all of us who haven't a clue about how to live in the "Age of Videography".
